Cheviot 2000 News and Announcements

The date of this years event had to be moved from the provisional 16th June due to the passage of the Olympic Flame through our region.

For those potential competitiors who want to know if they (at work) would be affected by the route of the flame then I've checked it and it will be as follows:

Friday 22nd - Windemere, Lancaster and Blackpool

Saturday 23rd - Blackpool, Preston, Burnley, Rochdale and Bury

Sunday 24th - Manchester, Oldham, Huddersfield, Bradford, Skipton and Leeds.

Hope this helps !

Gary.

The master sheet has been rechecked and appropriate amendments made.

I am assured that this accurately reflects this years results !

In an incredible achievment Police team Cheshire A, broke the record that they previously held for the course.

In the 2011 event which started off relatively dry but ended up in customary down pour, Malcolm Fowler and his team, Rob Grantham and Vince Van Woerkom made it around the course in 4 hours 08 minutes.

Well done !!

Just to remind every one, because I've had a few queries about uncashed cheques, that the confirmation your entry and payment has been received is when your team name appears on the list.

Check on the link on the home page and look in the excel document 'Team List'. The blank lines are from submitted entries but payment not yet received.

There is a good reason why I don't bank the cheques straight away which I'll explain at the event.

Thanks everyone.

Gary.

I'm going to be away from the computer for a couple of weeks so I'll be processing stuff when I get back. Team list is updated for all payments recieved up to today (15th).

Keep the applications coming in !

See the reults page for this years final countdown. Well done to all those who took part.

I always get numerous requests for split times at the various Marshaling points and have checked the sheets returned from each checkpoint. Not all have the times recorded but for those that do I'll attempt a spread sheet in due course whicjh I'll publish somewhere in here !!

Thanks again to all those who travel far and wide to make this a special event !

It seems that it's going to be dry this week and Saturday with only 10% chance of precipitation !! Depending when you're checking this you may have to click on the 10 day forecast.

That's probably about as good as it gets up here !!!

See everyone on Friday / Saturday
