I have entered as part of a team and purchased a pair of Fell/Trail running shoes, the instruction passed to me says that I will not be allowed to use them can you clarify this for me?

This is my third year running the race, My shoes are more Trail than fell and they are fine. As long as they aren't normal trainers you'll be fine.
