In an incredible achievment Police team Cheshire A, broke the record that they previously held for the course.

In the 2011 event which started off relatively dry but ended up in customary down pour, Malcolm Fowler and his team, Rob Grantham and Vince Van Woerkom made it around the course in 4 hours 08 minutes.

The new course record

Having just completed this years race (my first but perhaps not my last. Firstly thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of this fantastic race. Secondly which lunatic devised this nightmare course. Thirdly congratulations to the winners fellas well done your time is truly an inspiration don't know how you did it but I intend to try to find out, once again well done and thanks for the memories (mostly nightmares now).

Cheviot 2000

On behalf of the Cheshire teams I'd like to thank everyone who helped organise this years race. Events like this don't just happen, but require lots of hard work! One of the reasons we keep coming back year after year is because it is such a great event!

Mupetman states he intends to find out how we won. There really is no secret! We were lucky this year in that the ground was mostly firm which made fast running much easier. The weather was cool which meant we didn't have to carry more than the minimum amount of water. We know the course well having competed in the event over a number of years. Visibility at the top of Cheviot was excellent which made navigating to West Hill much easier than usual and all three of our team are running well at the moment.
